Accidentally witnessing at McDonald's by Frances M. McCrory Meservy June 1981
When Fay and I went to the grocery store each week, we almost always stopped at McDonald's to eat on the way. If we ate first, we purchased less and Fay's little girl Amy always wanted to go to 'Donald's.
One morning we were telling each other different ways God had answered our prayers and we were so excited that we got a little loud. As we finished eating a lady came over and with tears going down her cheeks, she said, "I want to know your God. He sounds so wonderful." We told her that all she had to do was ask Jesus' Holy Spirit to live in her and allow Him to lead her. She prayed and accepted Jesus as her savior. We gave her a new testament that was in my purse and she said she would find a local church to join.
Up until then I had not thought about accidentally witnessing. Fay and I made it a habit after that. We had several years worth of testimonies to share with each other and anyone in hearing range. We usually had someone approach us who at least wanted to know about Jesus.
Mat 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Acts 1:8 "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
Acts 4:33 And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.
Acts 5:32 "And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him."
Acts 13:31 "He was seen for many days by those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are His witnesses to the people.
Acts 14:3 Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
Acts 23:11 But the following night the Lord stood by him and said, "Be of good cheer, Paul; for as you have testified for Me in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness at Rome."
Acts 26:16 'But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you.
