Christmas past (In October 1977 our house burned down. All pictures previous to that date survived the fire and may be discolored from soot and/or water from the fire hoses. IE Sometimes blue carpet is green or brown. The only things that survived the fire were our pictures, movies, David's match box cars and the poems I had written over the years. We took that as a miracle from God).
1965 Our first home in North Chicago IL (upstairs furnished duplex/landlord lived downstairs) Picture taken from the kitchen. The bathroom was on the porch (shared with the couple next door) and there were no closets. The kitchen was excellent and we had steam radiator heat. Good thing about steam heat is that you did not lose it when the electric went off during a blizzard.
1966 John Clinton McCrory, Stephanie April Meservy & Frances Mable McCrory-Meservy (Casterton's Trailer Park, Norfolk VA) Our first purchased home on wheels. We were located in a really go part of town behind a shopping center. Mr. Casterton was a wonderful person.

1969 David Albert Meservy, Stephanie April Meservy & Brian Keith McCrory (Buna TX - we had moved our mobile home from Norfolk VA to next to my Mom's house while Al was in Vietnam) That's the same green couch - I reupholstered it when it started to get warn, before it started to crack. Stephie beat everyone else up. She loved her tricycle.
1970 David & Stephanie (Buna TX) Daddy's back from Vietnam (shore duty) and it in RI. We are waiting for the Seabees to finish building the trailer park. The local natives are so prejudiced against Navy personnel that there is no place to rent. The Navy built it's own trailer park and housing including schools for the families on base because of the prejudices locally. The Navy did take care of it's own at Quonset Point RI.
