Al’s Candid Yams

5 lb. Sweet Potatoes or Yams
2 lb. Dark brown Sugar
1 stick Butter
1 extra large Pot
Pam
Spray pot with Pam. Peal potatoes and cut them in 1-½ inch circles. Put potatoes in pot and cover with brown sugar. Put enough water in to cover potatoes. Bring to a boil and simmer for about an hour – stirring about every 15 minutes. When potatoes are soft, put stick of butter in top. When the butter melts, the potatoes are done. Serves 8-12
