p.3A 434  MESHACK STALLINGS, hatter, to WILLIAM JAMES, planter, both of Duplin 
Co., 9 Oct 1790, for 360 pds. N. C. currency 550A on a branch of Rockfish 
called Fussel's Creek in 5 tracts to wit: (1) 200A beg. at a stake in BENJAMIN 
FUSSEL'S cornfield, conveyed to the sd. STALLINGS from ELIJAH BOEN 15 Apr 
1786; (2) 100A near BENJAMIN FUSSEL & THOMAS HILL'S lines, beg. st a white 
oak, conveyed to sd. STALLINGS by FREDERICK RIVENBARK 24 Apr 1784; (3) 100A 
between Fussel's Creek & Taylor's Creek, beg. at a white oak & red oak WILLIAM 
JAMES' corner, to JOSEPH WILLIAMS' line, RICE MATHEWS' line, granted by patent 
to sd. STALLINGS 10 Sep 1785; (4) a tract (acreage not given) on the ES of 
Fussel's Creek, beg. at a pine an old corner of another survey of sd. 
FUSSEL'S, conveyed to sd. STALLIMGS by ELIJAH BOEN 11 July 1785; (5) 100A 
being 1/2 of 200A conveyed to the sd. STALLINGS by deed from RICE MATTHEWS 25 
Feb 1786 on the WS of Fussel's Creek & BS of Pig Pen Branch.
